How much will I most likely to receive if the guy at fault has the maximum coverage and do both insurance companies have to pay me?

David F. Stoddard
Answered by attorney David F. Stoddard (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at The David F. Stoddard Law Firm
You have not given near enough information for an attorney to answer your question. What you recover will likely be limited to the amount of liability coverage the drunk driver has (you say he has the maximum. I wasn't aware there was a maximum, but I assume it must exceed $1,000,000.00, or it is less then maximum), plus possibly any underinsured coverage you or your driver may have. How much you can get up to the insurance coverage depends on how severe your injury is, whether it is permanent, and if it is permanent, how it will affect your life in the future.

How do I fight a car accident lawsuit when I was not the one at fault but was the one ticketed?

Answered by attorney Brett Edward Rosenthal (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Graves Law Offices
Part of your auto policy obligates your carrier to designate counsel for you in the event that you get sued for the accident. However, need to make sure that you contest the ticket and the officer's finding of fault because if you don't do that and just pay it then they will use that to establish your fault for the accident. Make sure you contact your carrier as soon as you receive service of the complaint from the other party.

What could a truck driver be facing with if involved in the scene?

Answered by attorney Michael L. Aaronson
Personal Injury lawyer at Aaronson Law Firm
He's probably not guilty of anything unless his truck specifications were off so that he would not appear at the electrical wire anyway.
