There are several things that you need to do including seeking medical treatment to understand the type of injuries that you have. Plus, upon evaluation, a doctor may determine if you will need some continued treatment to return you to the medical status you were just prior to the accident. There are also some other steps that you will need to take with the insurance companies. When it comes to dealing with the insurance companies, you should really seriously consider calling my office and hiring us to handle the insurance company and help guide your in this process. Can I still sue my employer for an old injury?

David F. Stoddard
Answered by attorney David F. Stoddard (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at The David F. Stoddard Law Firm
First, your could not sue in court for this as your exclusive remedy against your employer for this type accident is in worker's compensation, regardless of whether the employer's actions contributed to the accident. If you could sue in court, it is too late as there would be a three years statute of limitation. If you have not already brought a worker's compensation claim, it is too late for this also as there is a two year statute of limitation.

Motion to extend time billing question

John Michael Frick
Answered by attorney John Michael Frick (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Reid Dennis Frick, PC
Yes, a motion to extend time is a common motion, and the client is responsible to pay for motions filed by the lawyer in the client's case.  If the lawyer wasn't working on your case, it would not have been necessary for him to file the motion.
