Am I liable for the medical fees if my son pushed the neighbor's son?

Don't think so. Parents are not generally liable for the torts of their children. And the other kid started the fight. (not important but a consideration I think).

Sorry to hear of your situation. Assuming you have uninsured motorist coverage on your own auto policy, then you and your wife can make a claim against your own policy.

How long do I have to pursue an auto accident and personal injury case?

Personal Injury lawyer at Fink & Abraham LLP
In California the statute of limitations for adults injured in an accident is 2 years. Your case against the person who hit you is over. However, you have a claim against the lawyer for her failure to protect the statute of limitations. Send her a letter demanding that she pay your medicals or you will take action against her.
