What should I do if I was sexually harassed by a tow truck driver dispatched by roadside assistance?

David F. Stoddard
Answered by attorney David F. Stoddard (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at The David F. Stoddard Law Firm
It depends on what you mean by sexually harassed. If he asked you for a date or for sex, you said no, and he dropped the matter, it may be appropriate to do nothing. If he has a boss, you might complain to his boss. If he went further and his actions truly caused you emotional distress, and were such that they would cause emotional distress to any reasonable person, you could sue him and his employer if he is not self employed. If he touched you inappropriately, you could call the police and pursue criminal charges, although this might be difficult if it is your word against his.

Can I fire my attorney and pursue the case on my own in an insurance claim?

Oscar Ernesto Toscano
Answered by attorney Oscar Ernesto Toscano (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Oscar E. Toscano, Attorney at Law
You have the right to fire the lawyer whenever he is not doing a good job. In fact, even if he is doing a great job, you could still fire him. You are the boss. The lawyer works for you. The lawyer is entitled to get paid a reasonable amount for his time at the end of the case. The lawyer has a lien that protects his fee. Normally, you should not be representing yourself. Would you do surgery on yourself? Of course not.

What is the process for revising an at-fault auto accident?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Steven Alan Fink (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Fink & Abraham LLP
You can definitely file a complaint with his supervising officer. The only way to turn around the ticket is in court. I am sure you reported this to your auto insurance and they have investigators to pursue the person who caused the accident. If insurance does not cover all your damage you can sue the other driver in small claims for up to $7500.
