Can I get a settlement for falling in front of a restaurant?

Joseph M. Troy
Answered by attorney Joseph M. Troy (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C.
It is certainly possible that the establishment and its insurance company is responsible for your injuries. There are some important questions to answer before an attorney could have a solid analysis. It may well depend on who owned and is responsible for maintenance, how old the railing was, whether the upheaved brick was recently dislodged, etc.

Was the restaurant negligent?

Paul L. Whitfield
Answered by attorney Paul L. Whitfield (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Paul Whitfield and Associates P.A.
The answer to your question is likely yes if they sold an item they knew was bad. Don't overdo it with the depression of the mention oi duck. That wont sell in court. Stick to the hard stuff you can prove. I doubt if a psychiatrist would come testify about your duck depression .

Can my friend sue me for getting into a car accident when she was the one who asked us to buy beer?

Answered by attorney J. Michael End
Personal Injury lawyer at End, Hierseman & Crain LLC
You were negligent, so you are potentially liable. Your friend may choose not to sue you, since you were just doing her a favor. However, she certainly has the right to sue you if she wants to.
