Answered by attorney David Scott Carlile (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Carlile Craig, L.L.P.
If the insurance policy excludes you specifically, or permissive drivers younger than 22 generally, then you have no recourse. If it does not, then you could sue the insurance company.

Can I be liable for injuries in my home?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Earl K. Straight (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Offices of Earl K. Straight
To be liable in this situation, the injured party must show that the injury was due to your negligence. The mere fact it happened in your home does not automatically make you liable. If you have homeowners insurance let them handle it. Otherwise, you will have to decide whether to fight the lawsuit or settle.
