I am a trial attorney and partner with Slovak, BaronEmpey Murphy PinkneyLLP. Currently, my practice is primarily complex civil litigation (contract, land use, trade secrets, unfair business practicesand intellectual property) and plaintiff's personal injury with an emphasis on the transmission of sexually-transmitted disease claims. Depending on the nature of the case, I handle both hourly-fee cases and contingency fee cases. In every case, I will discuss your matter free of charge to determine if I or my firm can help you and if you wish to retain us. Over the years, I have represented individuals and companies on a wide range of issues, including banking and financial services, employment claims, unfair competition, multi-jurisdictional product liability/recall actions, public and private construction disputes featuring delay/disruption/acceleration claims, and professional liability claims. In addition to law, I am avid golfer with a low single digit handicap, and I coach my twin boys'9 and under baseball team.

Hired Attorney

We wanted a new attorney but we did not have time to switch . He lost our case file full of info that we gave him, several days before our trial. we had to rush to compile it all again for him. He refused to ask for our attorney’s fees even though we told him to and that it was in our best interest. We did not feel he was easy to communicate with. often our emails or questions were not answered . We asked him to go back and make a counter offer and he never did. He showed up in court without a jacket on. we did not feel like we were a priority. We felt more like we were a bother. He did not end our case. He never stood up against the other side with a reply when they made threats to come after us again! We found him to be very passive .
