Hired Attorney Mark Murphy

Mark D. Murphy is by far the worst attorney I have ever engaged in a 40-year business career. In fact, he's the worst attorney I have ever known or seen in action. Mr. Murphy spends a lot of the client's time allegedly in preparation, but when he came to trial in my business case in 2018 he was entirely unprepared. Some major failures: * He only called one of my 42 proposed witnesses, & didn't even contact the other 41 * He never even opened, much less used, any of the depositions he took, which would have been devastating to at least 3 of the opposition witnesses * I didn't find out about counterclaims until the judge read the instructions to the jury, so no chance to counter * He went totally soft on several opposition witnesses, one because she was "elderly" & he didn't want to look "mean" * He used none of the devastating documents from discovery Mr. Murphy only has one skill: billing. For the above, he charged me approximately $150,000. Terrible. Awful. Disgraceful.

Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
