About Amira Cheikh-Khalil

Amira Cheikh-Khalil was born in Fort Lauderdale and raised in Tallahassee. She earned degrees in Recording Arts and Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, then a B.A. in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Sociology from the University of Central Florida. She later received her J.D., cum laude, from Florida A&M University College of Law, where she served in the Student Bar Association, competed on the Trial Team, and was selected to represent her law school in the prestigious George C. Young American Inn of Court-an invitation-only group of judges, lawyers, and students dedicated to professionalism and mentorship.

Ms. Cheikh-Khalil joined Morgan & Morgan’s Medical Malpractice and Birth Injury Department in 2019 under the mentorship of Managing Partner Jack T. Cook. She now serves as his senior associate, managing complex medical malpractice cases including but not limited to surgical and anesthesia errors, medication mistakes, delayed or missed diagnoses, failures in patient monitoring, negligent post-operative care, sepsis, wrongful death, and birth injuries such as hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), cerebral palsy, and brachial plexus injuries.

Her background in entertainment, technology, and real estate gives her a modern, client-focused approach. At Walt Disney World, she learned the power of communication and performance. At Apple, she refined skills in technology and precision. In real estate, she guided families through high-stakes negotiations, strengthening her advocacy and problem-solving. These experiences bring creativity, discipline, and innovation to her practice.

Fluent in English and Arabic, she offers a multicultural perspective and is committed to ensuring patients’ voices are heard. She is a member of The Florida Bar and the American Association for Justice. Outside her practice, she enjoys sports, traveling, cooking, reading, the arts, and time with family and friends.
