Ronald A. Phillips has practiced Matrimonial and Family Law exclusively since being admitted to the New York Bar in 1974. For decades, he has guided clients through divorce and separation matters, including separation agreements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, custody and visitation, maintenance, and equitable distribution of property. In 1979, Mr. Phillips became a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), a national organization with roughly 1,600 fellows, including about 175 in New York. His depth of experience helps clients understand not only what the law says, but what to realistically expect as a case moves forward. Mr. Phillips has lectured widely for bar associations and professional groups, written on matrimonial issues, and previously served for more than a decade on the editorial board of The Matrimonial Strategist. He is active in the Rockland, Westchester, and New York State Bar Associations, and he has held leadership roles within both local family law sections and the AAML New York Chapter. He has also testified as an expert witness in divorce trials and is recognized in Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers.
