I leave this review out of frustration and powerlessness. For me, Myrenda Jones's communication was minimal and cryptic from start to finish. She does not factor in how to communicate with a layperson that has no legal background, or doesn't want to. For me, I need someone forthcoming, someone who is willing to share what she knows fully, & who can breakdown processes and information comprehensively, so I feel informed, instead of confused. During probate, things were definitely missed along the way. I rolled with it. She blamed her assistant for those mistakes. The heartbreaker was when I was desperately trying to understand something after probate and rather than professionally explaining what I needed to know and suggesting how the oversight could be fixed, she chose to blame me, then charged me for my email to her about the issue. No referrals & no repeat business will come from me. If I need to find another attorney, I'll find a mature problem solver & excellent communicator.
In my opinion, incompetent. Poor communication and follow through. Didn't feel that she was looking out for me and my interest. Would go long periods of times with no communication from her or any sort of status of what was going on. Would typically communicate with you right before she sent you a bill. I would stay far away from Myrenda Jones/Myrenda Hancock.
