About Marian Fitzgerald

Ms. FitzGerald is an associate with Christy & Keith Family Law Group. She represents clients in all aspects of family law, including marital dissolutions, property characterization and division, child and spousal support, contentious custody issues, and domestic violence actions. Prior to joining Christy & Keith Family Law Group, Ms. FitzGerald was an associate with Winter & Ross, a premier San Francisco-based family law firm, where she represented high net worth clients with a focus on complex marital estates. Prior to that, she was an associate at ADZ Law, LLP, where she represented victims of intimate partner abuse in high conflict domestic violence cases. There, she honed her courtroom skills and developed a penchant for advocating fiercely on behalf of clients and their families, oftentimes when their personal safety was at risk. Her broad experience representing clients in an array of family law matters serves as an asset as she brings with her a unique ability to connect with her clients as they navigate the often complex legal process.

Prior to her family law career, Ms. FitzGerald had a dual role with Foley & Lardner’s managed care practice and labor and employment group, primarily serving institutional healthcare clients. Shifting her practice to estate planning and probate, she later served as a research attorney for the San Mateo County Superior Court while maintaining a private practice with a boutique probate litigation firm. She has been practicing family law exclusively since 2018.

While still in law school, Ms. FitzGerald served on the Executive Board of Community Legal Services at McGeorge School of Law as a student-attorney where she made administrative court appearances in EDD cases and represented clients on family law and housing matters. She also interned with California Indian Legal Services, the Tenderloin Childcare Center, and the Department of Personnel Administration. She maintains her commitment to community legal service, having regularly volunteered for the San Mateo Superior Court Family Law pro-per status conference calendar and now serving as Secretary of the Executive Board of the Women Lawyers Section of the San Mateo County Bar Association. She has long been a volunteer and a proud member of local school executive boards.

Ms. FitzGerald is a member of the State Bar of California (Family Law Section), the San Mateo County Bar Association (Family Law and Women Lawyer’s Sections) and the Bar of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.

Ms. FitzGerald is a proud mother of two young men and is a music, tennis and Taekwondo enthusiast.
