Hired Attorney Mr. Diego Asencio

My wife was seriously injured by a drunk driver. I spoke with several top rated firms and hired Diego because 1) He is a board-certified trial attorney (some attorneys avoid trials, and the insurance companies know who they are) 2) He said in our initial consultation, "I want drunk drivers to know they have more to fear than just the prosecutor." 3) He agreed to help make certain the drunk was criminally prosecuted. (To a great extent, thanks to Diego, the drunk served 16 months.) 4) He has a charming way about him that I believed would translate to extra $$ from a jury. He had my traumatized wife laughing within ten minutes of meeting him. She slept through discussions with other attorneys. Within 11 months from the crash, he got insurance settlements in excess of the policy limits, due to finding a paperwork error by my insurance agent, and because his skills as a trial attorney and insurance bad faith expert intimidated the drunk's insurance company to avoid a jury trial.

Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
