Annette Verdesco, Esq., a senior associate in the law firm, specializes in criminal and civil appellate practice, matrimonial and personal injury litigation, and the representation of police officers in disciplinary actions. Ms. Verdesco graduated from Seton Hall University with a B.A. in Political Science in 1986, with honors. In 1990, Ms. Verdesco received her Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Seton Hall Law School in Newark, New Jersey. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court of New Jersey and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and was appointed as federal appellate counsel under the Criminal Justice Act.
Ms. Verdesco has been successful in overturning numerous criminal convictions on appeal in the State Courts since the inception of her legal career along with the remand of several unjust sentences. Recently, she was successful in overturning two noted murder convictions in the matters of State of N.J. v Robert Figueroa and State of N.J. v Frederick Parrish. Ms. Verdesco was federal appellate counsel in the following precedential federal cases: Lewis v. Pinchak, 348 F.3d 355 (2003) and Johnson v. Hendricks, 314 F.3d 159 (2002). Additionally, she has tirelessly defended the rights of countless matrimonial litigants and possesses litigation and trial experience in the areas of criminal and civil law. Ms. Verdesco has also successfully represented several police officers in departmental hearings and at the Office of the Administrative Law and is an approved attorney on the State of New Jersey P.B.A. Legal Protection Plan.
