Ira pulled me aside and explained calmly and compassionately that he would do whatever I wanted, but that I had a choice - I could either reject their request and continue to pay his fees (which he noted would likely exceed what they were asking for) or be done with the process. We finalized everything that day.

My ex husband put everything our children's name in which they had no control over assets. The firm was terrific in negotiating, and working matters out peacefully.
