Joseph R. Dunaj is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation, and bankruptcy and creditor rights groups. His extensive experience includes representation of financial institutions and creditors in various collection cases and foreclosure cases, inclusive of settlement negotiations, title matters, and both appellate and bankruptcy work. Joseph regularly draws upon his broad knowledge of the law and practical court experience in order to achieve positive results in court for clients.
Prior to joining Neubert, Pepe, and Monteith, P.C., Joseph primarily represented banks, mortgage servicers, and lenders in residential and commercial foreclosure cases, both as a plaintiff and as a defendant. Joseph’s experience in foreclosure cases is extensive and he has obtained a number of favorable court decisions, particularly in the areas of opening foreclosure judgments, and the impact of a bankruptcy stay or appellate stay on a foreclosure.
Joseph earned his B.A. from the University of Connecticut, and his J.D. from the Quinnipiac University School of Law. While attending law school, Joseph served on the editorial board of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal. Joseph is currently admitted to practice in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
