About William Alan Hirshfeld

I have been practicing family law (read as 'divorce' law) for over 30 years. Except for my first three years practicing with a firm in Westchester County, the last 25 have been with Hirshfeld and Hirshfeld. I practice with my wife, Felicia Hirshfeld, Esq., who practices real estate law and estate planning. My father, Neal Hirshfeld was part of the practice until his retirement and practiced divorce in Rockland County for almost 50 years. But why chose Hirshfeld and Hirshfeld over the dozens of other family law practitioners in the county? You don't know this yet - but it is because we actually care! I have always offered free consults to all clients because it never seemed fair to me to expect someone to pay me a retainer if I don't have the time to meet them, discuss their case and have a chance to tell them what I can do for them- and even sometimes, what I can not do for them. Whether you have a child support issue, a custody problem or a complicated divorce, I will handle your matter professioanally and personally and we will devise a strategy to obtain your goals together.
