He has over 14 years of experience defending municipalities and governmental entities, private corporations and individuals in employment discrimination, civil rights, land use and zoning regulation, professional negligence and medical malpractice litigation. He has tried numerous cases to verdict, including defense of a university and faculty member in an employment discrimination and civil rights claim in the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, later defending the verdict on appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He has frequently appeared before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database.
