For over two decades, Ms. Fultz’s practice has focused on state and federal commercial and business litigation, subrogation and recovery litigation (products liability), and business development. She has tried several cases and recovered millions of dollars for corporate clients. Ms. Fultz was recently appointed to serve as a special master in Hillsborough County Circuit Civil Court. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Fultz was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Denise Page Hood in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.Before joining Sheehe & Associates, P.A., Ms. Fultz served as an Assistant Dean and Professor at Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Tampa). She was also a partner with the law firm Cozen O’Connor in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Cozen O’Connor, Ms. Fultz exemplified her leadership skills by serving as the pro bono coordinator for the firm’s Atlanta office, chair of the Women Initiative Committee for Cozen O’Connor’s Atlanta and Charlotte offices, and as a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee. In 2005 and 2006, Ms. Fultz was selected as a member of the Who’s Who of Black Atlanta and in 2011 she was named as one of the Nation’s Best 40 Advocates under 40 by the National Bar Association. Through her continued commitment to serve in voluntary bar associations, Ms. Fultz was elected as president of the Gate City Bar Association in Atlanta in 2005, served as a board member for the Atlanta Legal Diversity Consortium and was elected as a member-at-large for the Atlanta Bar Association. In Florida, Ms. Fultz was active in the George Edgecomb Bar Association and Hillsborough County Bar Associations. In 2016, she was appointed to the Corporate Board for the Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay. Ms. Fultz’s published works include Workers' Compensation Recovery Issues - Conflicts of Law in Georgia: Can You Intervene to Protect a Foreign State's Lien? (Subrogator, 1/11/2006); Claimant Beware: Construction Defects to Real Property Georgia Statute of Repose vs. Statute of Limitations (Subrogation and Recovery Law Blog, December 7, 2009); How Do You Or Your Insurance Carrier Recover Damages? (Southern Loss Association, July 2011). Ms. Fultz has also authored Finding Subrogation in the Midst of the Storm, (October 2016), Can An Employee Sue The Employer Or Co-Employee If The Employee Contracts Covid-19 While “At Work”? (March 2020) and Can The “Shelter In Place” Orders Lawfully Change Existing Contracts (i.e. prevention of evictions, fees or interest penalties)? (April 2020).
