Clayton Hugh Chin Quee, Jr. is a Partner in the firm’s Miami office, where he represents clients in complex civil litigation across a wide range of practice areas. His experience includes commercial litigation, employment and labor law, civil rights, negligent security, professional negligence, condominium and homeowners' association law, and child welfare matters.
Mr. Chin Quee has developed a reputation for his methodical preparation, strategic insight, meticulous writing and commitment to achieving favorable outcomes through deliberate and tenacious advocacy. He regularly represents employers, businesses, professionals, and associations in both state and federal court, including matters involving discrimination claims, contract disputes, statutory violations, and alleged breaches of professional and fiduciary duties. He is particularly adept in handling sensitive or high-exposure claims with the utmost care while delivering sophisticated legal analysis and pragmatic solutions to his clients.
Mr. Chin Quee received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, cum laude, from Florida International University in 2012, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2015. While in law school, he developed a strong foundation in public service, which continues to inform his practice today.
Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mr. Chin Quee served in the 11th Judicial Circuit as part of the Guardian ad Litem Program, where he advocated for the best interests of abused, abandoned, and neglected children in dependency courts. This role sharpened his courtroom skills and reinforced his commitment to advocacy grounded in integrity, professionalism, and service.
Mr. Chin Quee is also an active mentor to younger attorneys and regularly contributes to case strategy and training initiatives within the firm.
