Wendy Powell is an amazing attorney who is passionate about her work. She is a down to earth woman who is easy to talk with. She cares about her clients, their families, and she cares about the work she does.
Having worked in the same field, Wend is often the "go to" lawyer many of us use. She will be honest with the clients, telling them what their chances are of the outcome being what they want as well as telling them to wait, get counseling, journal your situation and helping them get through a difficult time in their lives. Thank God for lawyers that think more about their clients than money. Her hourly rate due to the echomimia, tells you she will continue good work.
Wendy has helped me with some family law problems and has done a great job.
Ms. Powell, would probably be a fine attorney in another area besides family law. This is not a good area for her. She is too passive. She does not communicate with her clients well. For all intensive purposes, she is incompetent. While her fees are average, you will end up paying MUCH more than if you went to an efficient, experienced attorney who does not jerk you around. I feel like I could have read a book and represented myself better than she did. Nice lady, but terrible lawyer.
She advises us to take the deal the fathers attorney submitted with no changes, now none of us can see our grand daughter and shes only a few miles down the road. Its been over a year we have no idea whats going on. He will not respond to text or phone numbers and if he does he makes up excuses. The only recourse we have is to pay for another attorney and fix it. Wendy just assured us this would work out took our money and thats it. She does not know what shes doing
