Sam is a member of the Casualty Department handling cases involving toxic tort litigation, primarily focusing on the defense of companies in the New York asbestos litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Sam represented the interests of insureds and self-insured businesses in complex suits, including toxic tort cases, product liability cases, employment-related issues, and property and business loss subrogation.
Sam has also served for over two years as assistant to in-house counsel for Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of electrical equipment in North America. He assisted with daily workplace issues, including drafting of company policies and compliance with labor and employment laws. Sam also handled a variety of product liability and employment-related matters on the company's behalf.
Sam graduated from Hofstra University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in Psychology. Sam received his juris doctor from the Hofstra University School of Law, graduating with honors.
Outside of the office, Sam takes pride in his service to the community by acting as the Legal Advisor for the Breathe Believe Foundation, an organization that is dedicated to help offset medical expenses for children who suffer from cystic fibrosis.
