Howard did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable. He did a great job representing my interests. He fought for me and believed in my cause. I would recommend his services to anyone in need of counsel. He also has a great deal of experience in Education Law, contract administration, wage and hour, and collective bargaining. Howard is an expert who cares about his clients. He really helped me understand the issues I faced and what remedies are available to me. Highly recommended!
1.) Did not know the education law concerning that which the case was about, and therefore filed the papers incorrectly with NY State and the school district, giving the District privy to what it should not have been privy. I almost had to drop the case after this.
2.)Took it upon himself to do things I DID NOT ASK HIM TO DO, which hurt my case, rather than minimizing the loss to which I had already been subjected, and for which was a second reason I had to eventually definitely drop the case.
This firm, in my opinion, is an embarrassment to the legal profession. After paying a $600.00 consultation fee, I retained the firm to represent me in an employment/assault issue. Upon paying a $5,000.00 retainer fee, the firm prepared a Notice of Claim that was riddled with errors and seemed to be a 'cut and paste from another case' document. Not only was the case caption addressed to the wrong party, the content of the document was not based on the facts given by me, the client. Further, the Verification had the date as March 2021 instead of September 2023, and had some other client's name. When this was brought to the firm's attention, Jason, Howard's son, subsequently decided it was best not to file the Notice of Claim to avoid retaliation from the employer. Needless to say, I ended the attorney-client relationship but the firm, unscrupulously, reaped a benefit of approximately $3,000.
