Emily Vener-Giszter, Esquire, practices Family Law and Divorce and Custody Mediation. She is available to provide all aspects of family law including divorce, custody and support. As a trained and licensed Psychotherapist, Ms. Vener’s goal is to diligently meet her client’s needs in the most supportive and least adversarial way possible. She seeks to limit the negative and painful aftermath of divorce and to protect children and families professionally and with compassion.As a trained neutral Divorce and Custody Mediator, Ms. Vener can help families settle disputes. Unlike litigation, mediation preserves the dignity of the family. Most importantly, mediation allows families increased control over their future and helps to protect children from the harmful consequences of parental conflict.Ms. Vener is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law (JD, 2010), University of Oregon (MS, 1985) and Cornell University (BS, 1983) She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is member of the Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and Delaware County Bars, and is a member of the Family Law, Women in the Law and Alternative Dispute Sections. Ms. Vener is the 2021 Chair of the Delaware County Bar's Family Law Section. In addition, Ms. Vener is a Licensed Professional Counselor (PA) and continues to practice psychotherapy part-time. Ms. Vener is a repeated speaker on topics relating to the intersection between Psychology and the Law.
