Abby’s practice focuses on the defense of management in labor and employment disputes, and the defense of medical providers and others in personal injury litigation. She also represents municipalities and school districts in the collective bargaining process. Abby advises clients on employment and personnel issues including hiring, discipline and discharge, wage and hour requirements, discrimination and wrongful discharge claims and federal laws such as FMLA and ADA. She also assists employers in developing personnel policies and employee handbooks and negotiating and drafting employment agreements. Abby has successfully represented clients in litigation in New Hampshire state courts and the Unites States District Court for the District of New Hampshire as well as state administrative agencies, including the Department of Labor, the New Hampshire Commission for Human Rights, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New Hampshire Department of Employment Security and New Hampshire Public Employee Labor Relations Board.
Prior to joining Wadleigh, Abby had a long career as a general manager in the leisure and hospitality industry and oversaw several multi-million-dollar accounts and managed over 500 employees. Abby is a life-long New Hampshire resident and is a member of the Board of Directors for Webster House in Manchester.
