Attorney Janet Ours was appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) to my case at the end of 2022 shortly after my child was born, and continued until 2024. When I disclosed an incident of domestic violence that happened during my pregnancy, she minimized it to the point that she made me feel bad for speaking up. I realized that because of women like her, victims of domestic violence are often afraid to speak up.  She recommended to the judge that my newborn baby should be placed in daycare even though I was breastfeeding exclusively and I was able to provide care for the baby. As a result of her recommendation, I had no access to my infant’s daycare for many months. That was a crucial time in my baby’s life. To summarize, she was unprofessional, unethical and made multiple discriminatory remarks towards me. Her demeanor was condescending and the fact that I wanted to care for my newborn baby after giving birth was heavily criticized by her. She did not act in my child’s best interest.

She is the worst lawyer ever! Not only she isn't professional but she also looks sloppy. She never cared about my case as every time I will try to reach her she was away from her desk or on vacation. The day of my trial she wasn't ready at all. She remained quite the entire time therefore I lost my case. I guess I was better off alone than represented by her! Do not hire her is just waste of money
