Avoid This Attorney I hired Shane for my NIW GC application. I hold a PhD in mathematics, have worked at U.S. universities, and currently work in tech as a data scientist. We agreed on the terms, and he began the process in May 2022. However, he was extremely slow and did not file my petition until December 2022. After filing and receiving full payment, communication became very difficult. Despite the strength of my resume, my case has been pending for an abnormally long time (over 4 years), and he showed no concern or initiative to follow up. He never took any meaningful action. His responses were brief, usually just saying, “this happens.” When I received an RFE, he claimed that he had submitted the additional documents. However, when I asked for a copy of what was submitted, he stopped responding to my emails and phone calls altogether. Eventually, I discovered that he had been fired from the firm where he worked, and he never informed me. Just avoid him.
