Extremely disappointing experience. The lawyer was unresponsive, missed important deadlines, and offered minimal support or guidance. I felt completely neglected and frustrated. Would not recommend to anyone.

Andrea Caster sold herself as empathetic and skilled with DV survivors, but the second I signed her retainer she vanished. She would disappear for weeks and act clueless about my case. Every attempt to communicate meant talking to her associates through a cracked door. It was shady, evasive, and so unprofessional. She burned through my retainer without doing the work she promised, draining money while providing nothing. My case went ignored while she hid, missing important dates and busying herself with talking behind my back with the other side. The worst part was her cruelty when I asked basic questions. She mocked me using details of my abuse that I shared in confidence. She laughed at me, taunted me, and said, “What are you going to do about it, call the bar?” That’s how she treated a DV survivor who trusted her. There was no empathy, no representation, just bullying, disrespect, and retraumatization. She ruined my case and my kids are still paying the price for her harm.

If I could give ZERO stars, that would be more appropriate. Andrea Merrill Caster needs California Bar Association intervention at this point. She neglects clients, improperly bills, never communicates, nor prepares your case in a timely manner as required by law. She attempts to charge “flat rates” so she can evade competently handling your case. She is smart and knows her stuff, however something is going on with her services as a compel and effective attorney which is a shame and significant did for those clients such as myself who enlisted and trusted her with complex family matters. I personally am reporting her to the California Bar Association, disciplinary action must be taken to save others. Should you also be a victim, hold her to the letter of the law. It is important Family attorneys are held accountable for fraudulent legal practices.

Ms. Caster is known among other attorneys for dishonest practices. In my case, our young children have endured severe psychological abuse due to their mother’s actions. This is a caution to all families about the court’s tolerance for perjury and deception from an officer of the court in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Caster’s pattern of perpetuating false narratives is a serious issue within the Los Angeles County Family Law system. Prolonged legal battles, especially those involving false accusations and custody issues, can devastate families and cause lasting harm to children. We hired her for a domestic violence case. We were trying to get a restraining order. Two weeks after we hired her we had not heard anything. On the third week, we called and she didn't remember who we were at first. Two months later we found out we had to go to court for the restraining order. After 10 minutes the Judge dismissed the case saying there wasn't enough evidence. We asked her about all the documents she had us collect and she just said, "this happens"
