Gregory Korn specializes in the areas of entertainment and intellectual property litigation.
In the area of entertainment, Mr. Korn represents clients in the film, television, and music industries, including studios and production companies, actors, writers, directors, producers, and musicians. Mr. Korn handles a wide variety of contract, trademark, and copyright matters for his entertainment clients. He litigates copyright infringement disputes concerning feature films, television shows, and musical compositions. He has litigated numerous rights disputes concerning feature film projects as well as disputes among producers and studios concerning rights to screen credit and compensation in connection with motion pictures. Mr. Korn has handled several “idea theft” matters in the film and television industries. In addition, he has substantial experience advising and representing celebrity clients in cases involving rights of privacy, rights of publicity, and contract.
In the area of intellectual property, Mr. Korn represents clients from a broad range of industries in copyright, trademark, and patent infringement actions. He further represents clients in the prosecution of trademark applications before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
Since 2007, Mr. Korn has repeatedly been named a “Southern California Rising Star” by the publishers of Los Angeles magazine. Mr. Korn is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego (B.A. 1996) and the UCLA School of Law, Order of the Coif (J.D. 1999). Prior to joining Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump & Aldisert LLP upon its founding in 2006, Mr. Korn clerked for the Honorable Stephen V. Wilson, United States District Judge for the Central District of California and practiced at the law firms of Irell & Manella LLP and Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman Machtinger & Kinsella LLP.
