Emerson B. Luke has a broad commercial litigation practice, regularly litigating disputes involving alleged false labeling consumer product class actions, breaches of contract, intellectual property, trade secrets, and real estate. Emerson also has experience defending large-scale landlord/tenant disputes and handling trusts and estates disputes, having represented clients in trust and will contests, conservatorship matters, breach of fiduciary duty cases, and accounting disputes.
Emerson represents clients at every stage of litigation - from inception through trial - in both state and federal court, and in various arbitration tribunals. Additionally, given Emerson’s prior experience working in government as a senior political aide in both in the California State Legislature and, most recently, in the Los Angeles City Council as Chief Deputy for Legal Affairs for Los Angeles City Council District 10, Emerson helps clients navigate various policy and regulatory issues.
