    Representative Matters: Won dismissal of a $500,000 claim against our client, a manufacturer of atomizers, after we demonstrated that the explosion which led the plaintiff's e-cigarette to burst in his pocket, causing third-degree burns to his thigh
    torso, resulted from a defect in the e-cigarette's battery
    not the atomizer.
    Successfully resolved a claim brought by a plaintiff who lost his h
    in an industrial accident while operating machinery at our client's business. The plaintiff claimed to be an invitee of our client, but we argued that the plaintiff was an employee whose remedies were preempted by workers' compensation laws. While awaiting a ruling on the motion for summary judgment, the plaintiff agreed to settle the matter for which he initially sought $3 million in damages.
    Negotiated a favorable settlement for a mid-sized developer
    construction company. The settlement was reached during the pre-litigation process required for residential construction defect cases.
