Cathy Bowerman is a Principal with Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, and represents clients in the defense of medical malpractice actions against hospitals and physicians, with an emphasis in emergency medicine. In addition, she has experience with medical staff and licensing issues. Cathy has lectured both locally and nationally on medical malpractice topics for the American College of Emergency Physicians and other medical/legal conferences and seminars.
Prior to joining Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, PLLC, she served as in-house counsel for the University of Michigan Hospitals, was an associate attorney with Cozadd, Shangle, Smith & Andrews, P.C. and a Principal at Siemion-Huckabay, P.C.
Cathy carries Martindale-Hubbell’s “A-V” rating and has been named Michigan Super Lawyer in 2012. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC) and the Washtenaw County Bar Association.
