Served as Special Assistant Corporation Counsel in three-day administrative trial involving two Chicago Police Officers. The officers were charged with violating six different Department rules
regulations for the illegal detainment
transport of a civilian against his will. The incident was captured on videotape
the Police Board trial was profiled on WBEZ, Chicago's NPR affiliate, in a series of online news articles published in February
May 2013. Successfully secured a guilty finding against both officers, who were summarily dismissed from the Chicago Police Department. Officers' appeal successfully defeated in Cook County Circuit Court Chancery Division before Judge Mary L. Mikva.
In re: Polyurethane Foam Antitrust Litigation
Serve as primary associate in multi-district antitrust litigation with partner Charles Tompkins. Prepared
defended fourteen of sixteen clients at deposition as Rule 30(b)(6) corporate representatives in five month timespan. Also deposed two key executives of defendant foam manufacturer Leggett & Platt on behalf of direct action plaintiff group. Prepared successful response brief to defeat Motion to Dismiss filed by Advanced Urethane Technologies, another major foam manufacturer successfully brought into the case.
