My ex-wife hired Terry Poppe to represent her in our divorce. Through the duration of the process, Terry was completely non-responsive to both opposing counsel as well as my ex-wife. At one point, opposing counsel sent him a proposed parenting plan via email, and it took over 6 months of constantly following up to get any response from him at all. When attempting to schedule a pre-settlement conference with Terry and my ex-wife, he had no availability for over 2 1/2 months, which wasted even more time. He proposed totally bogus financial settlement offers without ever even asking my ex-wife to see any financial records or figures. He wasted so much time and money doing absolutely nothing. If you want your case to be resolved in any sort of efficient manner, don’t use Terry Poppe.
Attorney Poppe hired me as an expert witness. I did an extensive amount of work and he has not paid me 7500.00 going on three years. I would not risk my case with and attorney that screws over his expert witnesses. Lukly I am good at what I do. The clients assets were protected by my work. You may not be so lucky. Horrible experience. Doesn’t communicate. Grossly unprepared for trial. Very charismatic, and friendly, but at the end, he doesn’t deliver. He knows everybody in the legal system (he has been around long enough), and relies on that for results. If your case depends on his actual work of getting prepared for trail, you will be in trouble. He talks big, threatens plenty, but does nothing. Please, look for someone else!!
