Originally from historic Fredericksburg, Virginia, Tom pursued his undergraduate degree in History and Government-Law at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. During his time there, he not only excelled academically but also achieved Academic All-Patriot League status on the baseball diamond. Tom went on to earn his juris doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in Athens, he participated in the Special Education Practicum, assisting underprivileged families in securing the educational benefits afforded to them under the law.
Tom served as the past President of the Fauquier County Bar Association, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to the legal community. He earned recognition as a Super Lawyer: Rising Star for consecutive years from 2014 to 2023, as honored by Super Lawyer Magazine, further underscoring his excellence in the legal field.
In his previous roles, Tom served as an Associate at Howard Morrison Ross & Whelan from 2007 to 2011 and later at Price Benowitz, LLP, from 2011 to 2019.
