My friend's son was hit by a work van at his place of employment. He had brain trauma and died 5 days later. Rebecca was referred by a family member. She knew, or should have known, the issues regarding a wrongful death lawsuit. Rebecca was retained to assist and represent my friend in settling matters for her grandchildren's custody whom the father had custody of. Rebecca Woods only addressed a portion of the issues involved. She only addressed the workman's comp details. She did not address company liability nor business/auto liability. We trusted her professional guidance but she led my friend astray in all of her suggestions which resulted in the loss of custody of her grandkids. Her big focus was building the dollar amount of her services. I strongly suggest that this subpar lawyer never handle such a case again. She does not listen, she does not represent her client's best interest.
Lake wood is a liar and a thief. She was cupable in the abuse of my 100 year old grandmother. She did her best to devastate and destroy our family. She abuses and circumvents the law. When she was the Jackson county public administrator she was a power monger. She did everything to propeller and perpetuate the intentionally corrupt guardianship system And the probate. Rebecca Lake Wood was PA when she schemed & lied to incarcerate my 97 year old grandmother, Lena Distefano & loot her estate in 2003. Due to Lake wood’s machinations it took me 6.5 years to get to the Missouri Supreme Court. Scott O Wright ruled in my favor. But Lake Wood continued her evil antics & kept me in court for another 13 mos on a technicality. She showed no remorse. Instead she boasted about her exploitations over the most marginalized victims. Never trust her.
