The Mathews Group, LC is a law firm with an office in Leawood, KS. At this office location, there is 1 lawyer practicing family law - divorce, child custody, bankruptcy and 2 other areas of law.
They kept their word, and were very easy for both sides to work with. But when my ex-wife refused to be reasonable, Josh and his staff refused to be pushed around. At trial, it was obvious that we were WAY more prepared than my wife's attorney, and the judge clearly liked the way that Josh did things. I did better than I ever thought I would.

He was simple, to the point and clear. He provided me with all of the available options and advised me as to the ones best-suited to my circumstance. He and his team helped me with what could only be termed an unusual divorce quickly and cleanly.
I would never hire him again or refer him to anyone needing an attorney. Josh Matthews took my money and went to court one time. I could not trust him to file very simple orders like child support. I have had no child support in ten months for 4 kids due to Mr. Mathews. Please listen to these reviews, I didn't. He is rude, lacks etiquette, cannot perform and won't work. I now have to find a decent and hard-working attorney.
Horrible lawyer..horrible staff. My spouse hired Josh Mathews for a modification. Once you pay the flat rate fee, there is NO incentive to work for you. Josh disappears after the consultation. His staff do NOT keep you updated on anything! Many, many mistakes made..and never an apology. We got passed off to another horrible lawyer without our knowledge. We ultimately had to negotiate with the ex "ourselves"..and had to get final signatures on our own too! Waste of money...and sanity. DO NOT USE!!
