I retained Justin Cole of Rhinebeck in February in connection with a purchase of a townhouse in Hyde Park. In the vast majority of cases, he took more than a day to return phone calls, emails and text messages, regardless of their urgency. Nor did he engage in meaningful negotiations with the seller's attorney. On the day the parties had agreed to sign the sales contract, I could not reach him. It wasn't until my fourth attempt to contact him that he picked up the phone and told me that "I will no longer represent you as your attorney". I was nothing but polite to him during the entire engagement. Nevertheless, he abandoned me when I needed him most.
