Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.Very Easy to talk to. Very informative and was prepared when I got there which saved time and a money.
Zero stars. My experience with Hardin & Ball was so terrible that I feel obligated to warn others. Over a multi-year case, I faced provably excessive billing - even being charged for the time it took them to accept my payments. At the most critical point, with a settlement on the table, Ben Hardin III and Julie Ball imposed a charging lien, which I believe was meant to pressure me into paying even more. When I raised specific concerns, Hardin had already left, and Ball responded not by addressing the overcharges but by offering to withdraw if I stayed silent - while “forgiving” less than 20% of the overcharge. This is just the tip of the iceberg. In my experience, the firm’s self-interest outweighed their duty to me as a client, eroding trust and making resolution harder. If you value professionalism, transparency, or basic decency, avoid Hardin & Ball. Don’t go where they play Hard Ball with their own clients.
Not retaining Julie Ball and actually retaining another attorney we were much more comfortable with was the best decision we made. An extremely ridiculously charged decision on Julie’s part, yet a very good decision to NOT retain Julie Ball. As a follow up, Julie’s assistant reached out to my brother the very next day after posting. She stated “Julie is willing to remove some of the final bill if you and your brother will edit your reviews.” This update is my edit. I will not falsify the truth for an offer to remove some of the final bill. It’s been paid in full and I stand behind my review.
