About Patrick R. McKenrick

Patrick McKenrick joined McKinney & Tillman, P.C. as an Associate Attorney in 2017, after previously working with the firm before attending law school. Patrick focuses his practice on estate and trust administration, probate, conservatorships, estate planning, and probate litigation.

Prior to joining McKinney & Tillman, P.C., Patrick practiced with a multi-state law firm representing major employers and insurance companies in local and administrative courts across Tennessee. While that work was diverse and challenging, Patrick wanted to transition to a firm where he could work directly with individuals, helping them through their unique, personal situations. Fortunately, McKinney & Tilman, P.C. provided just that opportunity, and he has enjoyed being able to make a difference in clients’ lives ever since joining the firm as an Associate.

Mr. McKenrick received his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University in 2010. Upon returning to East Tennessee, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he served as an Editor at Large for the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy, was frequently named to the Dean’s List, and received numerous CALI awards for receiving the highest grade in a law school class. Patrick is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, the Blount County Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association, and he is also a member of the Knoxville Estate Planning Council. Patrick is the author of the forthcoming book The Tennessee Probate Handbook.

When not in the office, Patrick spends most of his time with his wife and two troublesome canines at their home in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He is known to occasionally hike, ski, garden, and cook.
