Hired Attorney Mr. Gene Libby

Women Beware. I hired Gene Libby following my husband's arrest on domestic violence and he remained my lawyer through my divorce, so a total of about five months. I am more triggered by my experience of being "represented" by this man, that I am by the 29 years of abuse I experienced in my marriage. He refused to protect me from my estranged husband's continuing abuse, seeming more in league with my husband and husband's lawyer than me; tossed out legal terms of pending court activities and made me feel I was stupid for wanting a definition; put out statements to the media concerning me without consulting me on wording; and charged substantially more than $100,000 for five months, for most of which he declined to respond to my emails. When I first saw his face of granite I thought that would work for me against my difficult husband but his lack of kindness and compassion to his own client hurt me in every way possible.

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
