Was a pleasure working with attorney Filia. He did a fantastic job for me. Not only was he very responsive, he is very knowledgeable. He explains everything in simple terms. He got the results I wanted. He also explained things we could do to make sure I never get in an unfortunate spot like that again. I would highly recommend and would hire him again.

Did not communicate at all with my daughter. She went to her hearing unprepared with a lawyer who was unprepared. The judge even noticed the unpreparedness for both her and the attorney. They lost the cast. Needless to say, we fired him. Very upsetting. I would never recommend his law firm to anyone. So much time and money have been waisted.

The heart ache that this sorry excuse of an attorney has put my mother through is appalling. She hired Filia for a divorce case against my father, which should've been a simple case. Instead, Filia proceeded to rob her of over $2,000.00 by never returning her calls. But wait, it gets better. Because of the lack of communication, we were forced to call the courthouse to check on the status of the case. Imagine our surprise when we found out Filia didn't file ANYTHING in my mother's name. She then reached out to him via. email, and was basically given the response of "Stop pestering me, I have other clients." We're now faced with finding a new attorney with just a few weeks until the trial. Thanks a lot for wasting our time, Michael! Please don't waste your time on this joke!!

I paid him $1500 for a custody case, all he did was ask the same questions as the other lawyer. On 11/22/2021 Judge Fleming ordered to go back to court in 3 months and I'm still waiting for him to file the paperwork. He does not answer calls or return them. When you see him at the courthouse, he tells you that he's taking care of it. And I'm still waiting to go back to court. My suggestion is that if you have him as a lawyer, fire him and get a new lawyer. I did and I'm going back to court in March. Something Mr filia couldn't do in a year.

Had a criminal case that only involved ard in the end. Paid him 4000 as he requested . He told me it would be an easy case and he would refund my money that wasn't used. This was going on for 2 years. He showed up in court a total of 3 times for me and it was to just file paperwork. Then he didn't have to fight the judge for anything nor the state. I called him so many time at his office and on his cell. They tell me they will relay the message and I never get it. And he never calls me back. He told me several time he would go through paperwork to see what he owed me. He owes me no matter the 2000. And more than likely he owes me some of the other 2000. Worst attorney I ever had. Reported him to the bar

My experience with Atty. Filia has been that he is extremely poor at communicating. I made numerous phone calls and even stopped by his office to let messages, and I may have received two return calls in 2 1/2 years. The final straw was when he requested a large sum of money to schedule a hearing. He cashed the check five days later but did not file the paperwork until 2 1/2 months later, after I had retained another attorney. He cost me thousands of dollars by neglecting other filings.
