Sander Weiner practices in the Jacksonville, Florida, office of WSHB, where he is senior counsel. He is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on complex civil litigation. His areas of expertise include defending clients against a wide range of claims, including personal injury, medical malpractice, premises liability, product liability, construction defects, negligent security, professional malpractice, and general negligence. As a member of the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Team, Sander’s practice includes breach response, defense of state and federal enforcement actions of data privacy statutes, and defending high exposure class action and tech litigation.
Before joining WSHB, Sander defended medical malpractice and professional negligence claims while practicing at a large defense firm. His experience includes representing healthcare providers and physicians in medical negligence matters and navigating Florida’s medical malpractice framework, including pre-suit requirements, expert issues, and dispositive motion practice. This experience informs his broader complex litigation practice and approach to defending professional liability claims.
Sander is also vastly skilled in training and representing employers in workplace law matters, including labor and employment litigation, as well as providing preventive advice and counseling. He additionally has considerable experience handling union matters, collective bargaining, and labor arbitrations, having begun his career as a labor attorney representing law enforcement officers in Chicago and throughout Illinois. Sander has negotiated and drafted dozens of collective bargaining agreements, argued countless grievance arbitrations, conducted witness interviews, and assisted in workplace investigations.
He provides his clients not only with his legal expertise but also with his practical, real-world experiences. As a seasoned former restaurant worker and a non-commissioned Army officer, he has dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving others. Before graduating from law school, Sander held nearly every position possible within the restaurant industry. He joined the Army in the weeks following 9/11 and served with the 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment in Iraq. As a proud combat veteran and devoted father of two, Sander exemplifies hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to a cause.
