I was very pleased with working with Mr Slama. I hired him twice for my son. Hirins him was the best money i have ever spent.
We hired Mr. Slama, but a new inexperienced partner showed up in court and ended up handling the case. I do not feel he had the experience necessary as he studied and was just starting out in family law. We did not have communication with Mr. Slama and did not fully understand the processes of court. Our appointed lawyer was responsive and tried but we felt like we were not getting the best representation. Would recommend the firm, just make sure up front.
Robert made a little effort during the first few weeks, but then did not return phone calls. Received $3500 plus an additional $1500, but did not accomplish anything toward the divorce. Was very intimidating over the phone, when finally returning calls, during a very painful time of life. $411 was paid for divorce papers to be filed in court, NEVER filed. During Legal mediation, Robert admitted owing $411 back, but has NEVER paid. Avoid this crook.
Never on time for any appointments, court proceedings, or mediation yet bills clients for time that was booked including time he spends talking about other cases and providing excuses for being late.
Unprofessional to others including his office staff, resulting in frequent office staff turnover leaving you to wonder who actually will help you with your case.
Once he has spent hours telling you how he can help you, that is the last time you will be able to reach him.
He messed up the paperwork several times and the finished product had so many loopholes in it that we ended up in court three more times over visitation issues. Finally I went to another attorney to get everything fixed, what a mess!
