Originally from Michigan, Greg’s journey in law began with his pursuit of an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. With a desire for a change in scenery and the promise of new opportunities, Greg relocated to Tallahassee, Florida, to attend Florida State University College of Law. During his time there, his dedication and hard work paid off when he graduated with high honors in 1996.
As a proud member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Florida Bar, and the Florida Justice Association, he collaborates with other legal professionals to advocate for individuals and families affected by serious injuries. This approach fosters a sense of community among attorneys, helping to strengthen the legal framework that protects vulnerable individuals in Florida.
Outside of his legal practice, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, and their two sons, Nick and Noah. Whether they’re out boating or visiting his sons at FSU and FAU, the Schlax family values their time together and stays active in the Jacksonville community
