About Gregory S. Loyd

Greg Loyd is a Bose McKinney & Evans LLP Utilities Group partner. Greg regularly acts as special and local counsel for many for-profit and non-profit utilities, municipal corporations, municipalities, energy industry stakeholders and other governmental and private entities in utility-related matters. Greg also represents clients before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission as well as in the state and federal courts.

Prior to joining BME, Greg served as an administrative law judge for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, where he managed caseloads involving base rates, contracts, jurisdiction, mergers and acquisitions, financing and economic development. He is an experienced state and federal courtroom litigator, previously serving as a deputy prosecuting attorney and deputy attorney general. He has a proven track record of leadership, mentorship and process improvement.

Before attending law school at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Greg worked at the Council on Foreign Relations, a foreign policy think tank, which gave him the opportunity to enmesh himself in issues surrounding U.S. foreign policy and international relations.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
