    Greg Bowes began officiating soccer in 1983. In that time, he has refereed over 3,400 matches at youth, high school, amateur, college, and professional levels. Greg earned his National Referee certification from the United States Soccer Federation in 1998. In 2001, he retired as a National Referee, but continues to officiate matches at a lower level.

    While he was a National Referee, Greg officiated either as Referee or Assistant Referee in 24 professional matches. In 2001, he refereed soccer matches in the World Police and Fire Games, hosted in Indianapolis. In May 1998, he was selected as Fourth Official in a match between the women's national teams of Iceland and the United States. In October 1997, Greg was appointed as the Fourth Official for the U.S. Open Cup Championship.

    Greg has also officiated college soccer since 1989. He is currently assigned to Division I games in the Big 10 and Missouri Valley Conferences.

    Greg was selected to officiate the Indiana High School Athletic Association’s State Soccer Championship for the eighth time in 2019.
