Can a non-US citizen marry in the US, even with the tourist visa and apply for marriage visa later?

It would be best to marry and process your papers in the US. Then it only takes 2 to 3 months from start to finish. If you leave, it will take about a year.

What can I do if I entered the US with a tourist visa and want to be legal?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
You need an immigration attorney to assess your options with you but most chances of being legal require a sponsor and if not an immediate relative sponsor then you will need 245(i) eligibility or to go home and apply for a waiver to return.
