If I got a green card based on marriage 10 years ago and green card is expiring, what documents do I need to bring when I apply for a citizenship?

It is always good to bring documents to the interview that prove the marriage upon which you received your lawful permanent residency was, and in your case, still is a valid marriage. Bring your taxes, deeds or rental agreements, bank statements, insurance (medical, car, life, etc.) and any other documents that show the validity of your marriage. It will not be the primary focus of your interview, but many officers want to discuss the validity of the basis upon which you originally received your green card. Having some proof on hand will keep your interview focused on the naturalization requirements, and not the validity of your marriage.

If a mother enters with a visa and her adult USA citizen child sponsors her, normally she would not need to leave.

If you have a record how long do you have to wait to apply citizenship if you married a US citizen 3 or 5 years for GMC?

Your question requires an attorney consultation. It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. The short answer is that it depends on your criminal record. Certain crimes can prevent you from becoming a citizen and can also get you deported. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced immigration attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your situation. (S)he would then be in a better position to analyze your case and advise you of your options.
