If I am a permanent resident for two years how can I bring my mother to the US?

Answered by attorney Alena Shautsova

There is no way to sponsor your mom until you become a citizen. She can try coming here as a tourist to visit you.

Can we start over with our AOS application and try to get a 10 year green card instead since my wife and I have been married over 2 years?

William Junior Vasquez
Answered by attorney William Junior Vasquez (Unclaimed Profile)

Appeals take a very long time, in the alternative you could refile again but would have to repay the filing fees. The real question is whether your spouse qualifies for AOS. For a person to qualify for AOS they must have been inspected by immigration at the time of entry.

Green card question

Answered by attorney Dolly M. Fairclough (Unclaimed Profile)

Have you acquired any criminal convictions since the acquiring of your green card? If so, you may have a problem renewing your green card. Have you had any issues falsely applying for and receiving any type of government aid? That is something recent that can lead to deportation.   If no is the answer to both questions, and you state your conditional status has been removed, notwithstanding any other legal problems, you seem to be in a position to file for your citizenship, or renew your green card.  Filing for your citizenship would be the wiser choice.
